Last Sunday in SK...:( but it was a good one! :)

These Pictures are from the Lydia House for the Blind in Seoul.  All of these women are blind and live together because they have no families to support them.  We took them out for exercise and they loved pushing us around in the wheelchairs.  We steered of course.

We then went back to the home for some games.  It was awesome! They loved it but I think we enjoyed it even more! They were so full of Joy and laughter it just made us want to tear up some.  They were so happy.

If you go to my facebook you can see a video I posted of their laughing exercise.  They would just laugh different ways and it got us all laughing hysterically! It was so much fun!  It was one of the more rewarding days that's for sure. :)

At the end we all sang Amazing Grace and it was so precious.  It was definitely an experience I'll never forget!

Our trip is quickly coming to an end with only one day left in Korea.  I'm so excited to go home but Korea will always have an impact on me.  So many memories, friendships, and lessons I will never forget and will always cherish in my heart.  I love everybody in our group and we have all bonded in different ways.  It's been a ride guys and an experience of a lifetime.  So thanks to everybody on the trip & thanks to all those who were praying for us at home! It's been Great!  God is so good and faithful!

Day ??? - I've lost count.

This is the beginning of a adventure I will never forget...let's just say we got lost & I was forcefully ejected onto the ground...I'll give details later.

DMZ - Demilitarized Zone
The neutral area between North and South Korea

This is the South Korean and the United Nation's soldiers facing the North Koreans. We were on the South Korean side at this point. In that blue building with the door open is where the line is between the two countries.  And since North and South Korea are technically still in a state of War (they have called for a cease fire for about 60 years) but we still couldn't wear anything that had a message or could be used as propaganda because the North Koreans were watching us the whole time in the building that is pictured below.

This was our tour guide/ U.S. army soldier (they do the tours).  He was pretty cool.
In the picture below he is showing us that my side of the table is technically in North Korea.  It was pretty awesome!

Me and Abby with a UN soldier on the North Korea side!

This is the North Korean flag in one of there towns we could see from on a UN checkpoint.  It is one of the biggest flags in the world.  It was rainy so it was kinda hard to see.

It was a super fun.  And I have sooo many stories to tell when I get back! It's been such a cultural experience from getting lost, to one of us almost accidentally getting married, to being late to everything and of course the language barrier.  But I have learned so much and am sad it is coming to an end.

Oh and we also got to help out in an orphanage yesterday but I didn't have my camera, but the babies were so precious and I ended up taking a crash course in sewing and helped sew some baby clothes.

Missing western food but not wanting to go home yet, I got about 3 dayssss.

Best Dinner yet! So gooood!

Today was awesome.  We spent the whole day in Seoul touring around and shopping.  So much history and culture to look at.  The language barrier is definitely a struggle and quite amusing at times. But Seoul is SO pretty and awesome.  Everybody should come visit it at least once in their life!
Busy day tomorrow...Schoool!

PING PONG on the roof of our apartment...such an asian thing to do.

Ice cream in a waffle...diet starts when I return.

KARAOKE BABY!
It was sooo much fun! Way to end the last night in Daejeon .

Today (Sunday) we went to church in the morning and went to a mall and hate AMERICAN food.  Then we went to the new construction site of TCIS's school. It was legit....Asbury needs to take notes on the dorm layouts!  But then we headed back towards our apartments and found a sweet Korean store where I bought a lot of gifts for everybody in, it was really cool.  After that we, uh, so much stuff happened, it was a super long day...I think we chilled in the apartment and played ping pong, and went crazy on the rooftop, OH and watched the sunset....Then at night that's where the life is at in Korea.  Everything is opened until like 4a.m. so we hit up a legit korean restaurant and it as amazing! Still a little slow on the chopsticks but I'm getting there.  But the best part was the Karaoke room as you can see...so much fun.  There seriously needs to be one that opens in Lexington.  Off to bed, up early tomorrow for school and our trip to Seoul! Fun time in Daejeaon, but looking forward to Seoul! :)
